Since many international farmers are exploited by large aggregate distributors and middlemen, responsible suppliers have agreed on ways work with smaller farmers so that have more control over their own livelihoods. Our suppliers make sure that the farmers they work with are compensated fairly for the work they do. The result? Local farmers can build economically viable businesses while paying fair wages. Could we buy our ingredients for less? Sure, but we won't. We do not support farming practices that exploit the environment, farmers, or the workers they hire.
